What is Sitemap?
A site map or sitemap is a list of pages of a web site accessible to crawlers or users. It helps to crawl your website pages in SERP, We have to generate it in hierarchical module for better result.
You can create four types of Sitemap
1. XML Sitemap:
It helps to submit your web urls Search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo.
2. HTML Sitemap:
It allows human visitors to easily navigate on your site.
3. Text Sitemap:
It give you the plain url addresses list of all your pages.
4. ROR Sitemap:
It is an independent XML format for any search engine.
Generate the sitemap
Can we put Sitemap.xml and Sitemap.html both on same website?
Yes, you can submit Sitemap.xml and Sitemap.html both on the same website or blog. It won’t cause any problems because The xml sitemap is what you will submit to Google or any other search engines while the HTML one is for your site visitors who want to see all your pages (although it will be crawled and indexed as well).
